Show Sample Returns
You've nabbed yourself a bargain with our discounted SHOW SAMPLE designer gowns! Congratulations! As these gowns are in stock you are welcome to return them as long as you have them back to us within 10 days of receipt. Returns will incur a 15% restocking fee + shipping that will be kept when issued a refund. Please return your gown in original condition with all tags, etc attached/included along with a completed copy of the RETURNS FORM downloadable below:
I'm not sure what size I should buy?
We know that choosing the correct size can be a bit daunting so we have put together a How to Measure video to help you measure in the correct places so you can choose the best size for you. All dresses will need a tweak given that we are different shapes but that is also easy enough to do. Check out our Media page for our helpful videos on how to find an alterations lady. It is our strong suggestion to use the largest measurement and order your size based off that measurement as these gowns do not stretch and have limited room to let them out if the gown is too small but most gowns can be run in up to 2 sizes if needed.
I've just received my dress and it needs some alterations...What do I do?
Firstly Congratulations you are now part of the #s&stribe! Whilst all of our gowns follow a set size chart it’s very rare that we fit into a particular size perfectly so alterations will be required if you want your gown to fit you perfectly… Let’s face we wish we were all 6 foot tall size 6 super models but for most of us (myself included) it’s not a thing! The most common alterations needed are a hem, a bust shaping dart and normally a small tweak in at the waist or a shorten of the straps and a bustle. A bustle will hitch up the train so you can dance the night away without worry! Give your nearest bridal shop a call as they often will either do it themselves or have ladies they recommend as their brides need alts done too. I've put on a little bit of pre wedding weight and my gown is too small. What can I do?
We’re female, we totally get that stress eating is a real thing and weddings are the worst for it! So to help take some of the stress out of it we have a potential solution for you… If your gown has a zip back then the easiest thing to do to give you almost a full size bigger is to purchase one of our Lace Up Back Kits! You can buy a kit which includes a panel, a lace up tie and the required loops that can be easily sewn into the gown. Then contact a dressmaker (nearest bridal store or even drycleaners have people they recommend) and they can sew it in for you. If your gown is only a little firm then it’s highly possible it can be released through the side seams to give you some breathing room.
How long will my gown/s take to get to me?
Delivery on your items will depend on what you are ordering… Wedding, Bridesmaids and Formal gowns are Made to Order please refer to the individual product descriptions for exact shipping/production times. You will be updated with tracking details of your package once it has been shipped. Once the order has been shipped it will take approximately 1-4 business days to reach you in most metropolitan areas. For addresses outside the metro area please allow approximately an extra 7 business days. Please also be aware that some items come from different factories and therefore do not be alarmed if your order arrives piece by piece as we are determined to make sure you are enjoying your order as soon as possible!
Do you accept returns? (Bridesmaids, Formal, Made to Order)
We offer a returns policy. If you have changed your mind or ordered the wrong size or colour you are able to return your item with a 30% restocking fee as the products are Made to Order. Items must be returned within 10 days from delivery to the address provided with your goods. Sugar & Spice is not responsible for the return payment of shipping and the original shipping price will be deducted from the refund amount. Refunds will be made within 7-14 business days from receipt of returned goods.

Can I try on and collect an online dress from your store?
All of our online gowns are sent into and out of our Brisbane warehouse which is not open to the public. Rest assured your gorgeous gown will be looked after and sent out to you via TNT Couriers or Express Post so you can track it every step of the way!
I bought a Sample Sale gown, can I return or exchange it?
Congratulations on bagging a bargain! We are delighted to be able to offer you a refund on our sample sale wedding gowns. All gowns must be returned within 10 days of receiving the gown. All returns will incur a $45 restocking fee as well as any shipping & handling charges*. We are also pleased to be able to offer you an exchange on your gown for something else. All products you wish to exchange must be returned to Sugar & Spice within 10 days of delivery receipt. You will be responsible for all shipping costs of returning the item and also to have the new item sent out to you. Please include our returns form including the item name/number of the gown you wish to exchange it for.

Brand New Dress Return
You've nabbed yourself a bargain with our discounted BRAND NEW designer gowns! Congratulations! As these gowns are in stock you are welcome to return them as long as you have them back to us within 10 days of receipt. As these are brand new and once they have been tried on can no longer be sold as new there is a 20% restocking fee + shipping that will be kept when issued a refund. Please return your gown in original condition with all tags, etc attached/included along with a completed copy of the RETURNS FORM downloadable below:

Can you confirm you have received my return?
We aim to process returns within 5-7 working days of receiving them. You will be notified by email once the return is complete.We suggest you make a note of the shipping reference given when you sent the item back. This will allow you to track your parcel at every stage of delivery, including when we receive it.Should you have any queries about your return, please feel free to contact our Customer Service team via email

I'm looking at buying a sample Sale gown, what can I expect?
These gowns are designer sample gowns which were part of our large Showroom store before our downsize. Some gowns are brand new and have never been tried on while others were handled with love & care but may have some small imperfections like a loose thread, a missing bead or a make-up mark. All/Any imperfections are easily remedied by the dressmaker or a quick trip to the dry cleaners and are well worth the savings you’ll get on these beautiful wedding gowns! These gowns are in-stock items and will be shipped out from our Brisbane warehouse within 7 business days following purchase.

Delivery Times Over Christmas/New Year
We do our very best to provide accurate production & delivery times however over the Christmas/New Year closure periods delays are bound to happen. We will advise you what your ETA is of your ordered dress/s after the order is placed and confirmed with the factory. If you have concerns about timing please contact us before placing your order. We will not be responsible for delivery delays and any missed events over this period and any cancellations will result in us following our standard returns procedure.
